The People of Zion
Let us praise God’s name with dancing, making melody to God with tambourine and lyre. —Psalm 149:3
Women of Zion
The Women of Zion generally meet the second Saturday of every month for a continental breakfast, devotions and fellowship at 9am. All women of Zion are welcome to attend.
Men’s Fellowship
The Men's Fellowship meets the first Saturday of every month for breakfast, devotions and fellowship at 8:30am. This group of men is active in hosting a variety of activities for the congregation, such as theater outings and picnics. These men love to work in our well-equipped kitchen and sponsor a variety of breakfasts and lunches throughout the year. It sponsors our Boy Scout troop and, together with them, puts on an annual chili feed, where you have your choice of hot, mild, or wild chili. The ingredients in the wild chili are provided by our own big game hunters.
Wednesday Morning Prayer
Every Wednesday morning before the busy-ness of the day begins, a group of people gather at 7AM at the church to pray. In the quiet of the day’s beginning, we intercede with God for the concerns of our church family, for the world and for anyone who has asked for prayer. We offer thanksgiving in response to God’s blessings and provision.
We welcome all who wish to join in prayer to join us for an hour or so every Wednesday morning.
Bible Study
Every Tuesday and Thursday morning at 9:30 am we meet for one hour for bible study. We begin with the appointed texts for the following Sunday worship. And we often will go from there to whatever text or topic interests those who attend.
Mom's Bible Study
Every Wednesday at 9:30 am and 12:30 pm. The topic is "BalancedLiving" (a Focus on the Family resource). It is led by Mary Ellen Steinkraus. All moms are welcome to drop in for any session.

The Super Sale!
It’s a party, a picnic, a barbeque.
It’s a bake sale; it’s a giant garage sale.
It’s a silent auction and a pie sale.
It’s the Super Sale!
Once a year on the second Saturday in September, we have the mother of all garage sales. Imagine all the people of Zion holding their own garage sale on one day, then think about that happening in one place, Zion Lutheran Church! Furniture, electronics, clothing, housewares, toys, books, games, recordings, hardware, tools, fabric, arts and crafts, and more. Each year there are more than a few treasures to be found. Now add in the auction, barbeque, and everything else listed above. That’s the Super Sale! Everything must go! Come see why the Super Sale! is famous throughout south Washington County!
Quilters
Our quilters meet two Wednesdays of each month for quilting and conversation. 9–11am normally on the first and third Wednesday is the monthly schedule. Quilting warms our hearts and the hearts of others as well.
HOPE Group
The HOPE Group is a peer support group for those who suffer from depression and for members of their families. This group meets at the church on the first and third Tuesday of each month to offer encouragement and support. It maintains a very high level of confidentiality. Contact the church office to be put in contact with the group’s coordinator.
OWLS (Older, Wiser, Laughing Souls)
Whooooooo’s OWLS? Our newest fellowship group meets around a potluck luncheon or other food-related event approximately once a month to share in a time of fun and community-building. We actively seek those who consider themselves older or wiser souls and those who love to laugh to join us for an event. You don’t have to prove your eligibility to join in.
